Prayers

With the exception of Fajr prayer, we have congregational (jama`ah) prayers for each prayer. Prayer mats, scarves, and skirts are available for everyone to use.

At York University, Keele Campus, we hold prayers in Scott Religious Centre Chapel, which is located right beside Scott Library.

There is a multi-faith prayer room on the south-east corner of the second floor of the Stephen E. Quinlan Building a.k.a. Seneca@York (Building # 40 on the campus map). The room is open so long as Seneca is, which on most days is between 7AM and 10PM.

At York University, Glendon Campus, prayers are held inside Hilliard Residence in Glendon Women and Trans’ Centre – D124.

We have Friday congregational sermon and prayer every week, Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters except for exceptional circumstances. The prayer is held in Scott Religious Centre and starts at 1:30 PM all throughout the year, regardless of Daylight Savings.

For those who have class at 1:30 PM, Seneca at York (location above) has Friday prayers which start at 1:00 PM and end at 1:30 PM insha’Allah.
