Islam Awareness Week

This week will inshaAllah mark our second Islam Awareness Week of this school year! During this week we will be having a booth wherein we will distribute pamphlets and books about Islam. The theme being Tawheed.

We will also hand out surveys with simple questions pertaining to the religion of Islam, in hopes of creating dialogue and clearing any misconceptions on campus about this beautiful way of life. At the booth will be brothers and sisters responsible for giving dawa and answering any fielding questions.

Alhumdulilah we are also pleased to announce that Friday of the week we will be hosting a lecture by Brother Hamza Andreas Tzortzis who will be coming from London-UK for a tour in Canadian Universities. The topic of this lecture will be:

‘Islam or Atheism’

Our first Islâm Awareness Week runs from November 1-5, 2010 in shâ Allâh. We will be running a booth from which we will distribute literature and have Muslim students trained in our Da’wah Training Sessions field questions from the greater York U community.
