Orphan Sponsorship Dinner
“Within charity, lies eternal wealth.”
Islamic Relief @ York University and York MSA are pleased to announce our ‘Orphan Sponsorship Dinner’.
In a collaborative spirit, we invite you to join us for a night of enlightened discussion and fund-raising.All proceeds will go towards Islamic Reliefs Orphan Sponsorship Program.
We aim to provide support to five wonderful children, spread across the globe, from Africa to India.
Visit http://tiny.cc/iratyu_osp to view the profiles of the 5 orphans that we have sponsored.
These five orphans are not the benefactors of wealth. They cannot imagine your lifestyles, and the choices that you have to make on a daily basis. You are being given a chance to enlighten these children with a vision for the future, perhaps even one similar to yours. Give to those who will receive graciously.

Aslamo 3alikom,
I have a suggestion,
I was thinking of if we can have an event like that one “Sisters Horseback Riding Trip” which the MSA of University of Toronto is affording. here is the site for the invitation “http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=159286817429571″
We want to have some social and entertaining activities and events like that, and some more exciting ones that will make people more attractive to the York MSA.

Walaikum salaam,
That sounds pretty cool ukhti, I suggest you post the link on the YorkMSA facebook page so other sisters can see it as well. These events are almost always inter-campus, it’s just a matter of getting the word out.
I also agree with what you’re saying about more events for our MSA. I’m a regular member like you and I’ll run it passed the execs I see and you should too, chances are they have a lot of stuff coming up anyway like Islamic Awareness Week and maybe a ski trip (I think we had one last year). If you need more contact info look under the “about us” tab.
