Membership
If you would like to become a member of the MSA, then please drop by the MSA office located in Room 210 of the Scott Religious Centre (you can come during our Office Hours which will commence October in shâ Allâh). There you will fill out a small form, be given an MSA card with your membership number, and a small fee of $10 is required for you to keep your membership for the whole year.
Note: To be recognized by the University as an MSA member, you must be a student/staff/faculty member attending YorkU.
With an MSA membership you will be able to:
- Sign out books from the MSA library without a deposit ($10)
- Take part in MSA Elections
- Have access to the MSA Members Exclusive sections of the Forum which include sections for gender-exclusive discussions, peer-mentoring pairing, bartering, etc.
- Get discounts at our events
- Take part in some of our member-exclusive classes
- Help the MSA lobby on your behalf as the University only recognizes as club members those who sign up as MSA members and it is by amassing MSA members that our opinions and lobbying on your behalf have effect.
