You've communicated an amazing message, and provided an outlet where "hey, its actually also in Islam to care about your environment, not just in environmental safety groups!" And given us, as muslims, some great advice on how to care for the gifts Allah has provided us with. SubhanAllah,

"Tree-hugging" is always a good thing, mash'Allah. There is a famous incident that the companions witnessed where the Prophet sual Allahu alayhi wasalam ACTUALLY hugged a tree: <blockquote>Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullaah (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to go and stand next to a tree or palm-tree on Fridays. A woman or a man of the Ansaar said: "O Messenger of Allaah, should we not make for you a minbar ("pulpit")?" He said, "If you wish." So they made a minbar for him, and when the next Friday came, he was shown to the minbar. The tree cried like a small child, then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came down and hugged the crying tree until it calmed down." Jaabir said: "It was crying because of the dhikr (remembrance of Allaah) that it used to hear." (al-Bukhaari, 3319).</blockquote> And here's another beautiful hadith about planting trees: <blockquote>"Whenever Muslims plant a tree, they will earn the reward of charity because of the food that comes from it; and likewise what is stolen from it, what the wild beasts eat out of it, what the birds eat out of it, and what people take from it is charity for them" (Muslim)</blockquote> Jazak’Allah khair for the reminder.
